Careers Education at Bay House
The aim of our School Careers Policy is to develop the skills, attitudes and abilities of our students to enable them to make effective decisions about their future education, training and employment. All of our students have access to a planned and progressive programme of Careers Education and support which enables them to develop and apply the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to make realistic career decisions.
We are committed to ensuring that our learners experience the highest quality of careers education and outstanding information, advice and guidance. To that end, we are proud to be recognised for meeting the Quality in Careers Standard.
Our policies relating to careers guidance including our overall careers strategy and Provider Access Statement committing us to give equal access to providers of further and higher education and employers can be found on our policies page here.
Our Pathways website GFM Careers contains a wealth of information on the world of work and routes into employment, including college, university and apprenticeships. It is updated regularly with the latest careers events and news.
We are committed to the eight Gatsby benchmarks which encapsulate the key elements of excellent careers guidance.
