Welcome to the Library.

“At the moment that we persuade a child, any child, to cross that threshold, that magic threshold into a library, we change their lives forever, for the better. It’s an enormous force for good.” ~ Barack Obama

Resources

All resources in the library (except DVDs) can be borrowed for four weeks, with the option to renew resources if required for longer.

  • Fiction books are arranged alphabetically by genre.
  • Non-fiction (or information) books are arranged in numerical order according to their subject.
  • DVDs are available as an overnight loan, however, if borrowed on a Friday they can be taken for the weekend.
  • Chromebooks are available to borrow in the library for the completion of work, before and after school and at break times.

Students can use the library system Oliver 5 to search for books and reliable websites; as well as write book reviews and reserve books that are currently unavailable. Students can access the library system by logging in with their school Google Account.

All resources borrowed from the Library must be issued at the main issue desk by a member of staff. There is a security barrier and CCTV in operation.

Weekly reminders for overdue resources are sent out automatically by email to the students. Parents/Carers will be asked to pay for any lost or damaged resources.
