The drama department began their year long work with English Heritage, Portchester Castle and Warwick University on the 10th and 11th of September taking two different groups to the castle to explore its history. Our year ten drama classes went along to find stimuli for their first attempt at their devised coursework and the sixth form short course were introduced to the story of the prisoners of war who were housed at the castle in the early 1800’s and built the theatre there. We will keep you updated on how this project will progress as the year goes on.
