The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils (those receiving FSM, CiC or recently adopted).
The Pupil Premium funding is provided to schools, which is in addition to main school funding. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual students within their responsibility. The school’s Board has been kept closely informed over how the school uses the money.

You will be asked to input your national insurance number and date of birth. This is an easy online service that will give you a quick answer to see if your child is eligible.
To ensure the school is allocating Pupil Premium to aid the attainment of our pupils, we are rigorous in our approach and:
- Collect and analyse data on groups and individual students, and monitor this at regular Learning Reviews
- Are focused on the quality of teaching
- Identify the main barriers to learning
- Put interventions in place when progress has slowed
- Engage with parents and carers in the education of their child
- Refer to the existing evidence about the effectiveness of different strategies
- Adopt a whole staff approach to understand and implement the strategies being used in school
- Secure staff commitment to the importance of the Pupil Premium agenda
- Accept challenge from our SAAGS on Pupil Premium use.
As a working document, our Pupil Premium strategy is updated termly in light of measuring implementation and spend, in order to maximise impact.
