Thursday 18 November: Artist, Ian Murphy visits Bay House

Artist, Ian Murphy came to Bay House today to work with the Year 10 GCSE Fine Art pupils.

The pupils spent the day in the department with Ian Murphy leading the session. His inspiration comes from buildings and structures, both old and new around the world. He showed them some of his sketchbooks and large scale drawings all of which combine drawing and text over created textured surfaces of collaged and distressed paper.

Pupils will now use the work created today and the skills learnt to continue on their GCSE project titled Heritage and structures.
Friday he heads to Brune Park to work with the Year 10 GCSE Fine Art pupils.
