Your child’s Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination is now due.
HPV is given as part of the routine school age immunisation programme administered in two doses. The first dose is offered in the spring/summer of 2021 and the second dose in the spring/summer of 2022. It is offered at this age because the vaccination works best if received before an infection occurs.
HPV vaccine is not routinely available from your GP.
We are due to visit your child’s school on Tuesday 18 & Wednesday 19 May 2021 (Year 8) & Wednesday 26 & Thursday 27 May 2021 (Year 9). Please submit your form by 5pm Tuesday 11 May 2021 to ensure your child receives their vaccination.

The unique code for your child’s school is: SH137791 This code must be manually typed in. When you have submitted your form, you will receive a confirmation email. This may go into your “junk” folder. If you do not receive the email, contact the school who can verify whether it has been submitted.

If your child is absent from school on the day of their vaccination, the School Age Immunisation Service will offer a further opportunity for them to receive the vaccine.

Following guidance from NHS England, the immunisation programmes continue to be delivered in schools. The school age immunisation team follow national and local guidance for infection control. All staff will be wearing masks at the session & the immunisation area will be set up to ensure that social distancing measures are in place. Pupils will be reminded to adhere to this guidance when attending for their vaccination.
