Sixth Form Exam Results 2022

Student numbers have grown rapidly in the wake of outstanding examination results: the A Level A*-C pass rate was 88% in 2022, with the A*-A pass rate
being 39%

The Sixth Form examination results in 2022 were outstandingly good. The A Level pass rate (A*-E) was 99%, broken down in percentage terms as follows:

A* – 16.4%

A* – A – 38.7%

A* – B  – 68%

A* – C – 88.2%

A* – D – 96.3%

A* – E – 99.1%

Approximately 90% of students choose to continue their studies at university, with the overwhelming majority securing a place at their first-choice institution. Of these, at least four times the national average typically

Mathematics:

77% achieved grades A* – B (64% nationally)

Film Studies:

76% A* – B (62% nationally)

Business Studies:

34% A*/A grades (25% nationally)

History:

52% of students achieved grades A*/A (35% nationally)

English Language:

Results were substantially higher than national results:

12% A* (6% nationally)

36% A*/A (23% nationally)

76% A* – B (67% nationally)

100% A* – C (86% nationally)

English Literature:

Results at all grades were above national results, most notably:

A* – B with 79% (67% nationally)

A* – C 97% (88% nationally)

Chemistry:

A* – C was 91% (76% nationally)

Geography:

A*/A was 41%  (34% nationally)

Psychology:

71% of our students achieved grades A* – B (57% nationally)

French, German and Spanish:

100% achieved grades A* – C
