Year 10 have GCSE  mock examinations this week in which they are making Bakewell tarts and Lasagne in three hours.   Everything must be made and presented within the time and they make their pasta, roux sauces and bolognese from scratch alongside shortcrust pastry, sponge

 Year 11 Revision of key Food Science terms in which the students made breakfast and had to apply the correct food science processes to each component – before they ate! Both groups were brilliant and have better retrieval of tricky terminology as a result.
