‘Going on an actual adventure!’ – New Forest Residential Trip

Over 300 students from Bay House and Brune Park schools joined together to visit New Forest Activity Centre.

As part our#Gobeyond award, students took part in canoeing down Beaulieu river, put their archery skills to the test, completed different battlezone adventures from capture the flag to zombie apocalypse and tested their heights and balance on the high and low ropes.

For campers, the trip was nicely rounded off with a campfire and sleeping in bell tents.

Student, Lucas, said: “I really enjoyed the trip as it was fun, The battlezone was great it felt like a real challenge!”

Student, Faustyna, said: “I really liked the canoeing as it felt like you were going on an actual adventure!”

Clubs and Societies Lead, Ms Cannon-Rogers, said: “Students developed their Gosport Futures skills in particular, teamwork and staying positive. Their skills were impressive and they worked together when activities were hard. What a fun and fantastic trip had by all.”
