Yesterday, we wrote to all our students and their families to inform them of an important development for the Gosport and Fareham Multi-Academy Trust (GFM).
Currently, the Gosport and Fareham Multi-Academy Trust (GFM) consists of five schools:
- Bay House School and Sixth Form;
- Brune Park School;
- Gomer Junior School;
- Lord Wilson School;
- Rowner Junior School.
We are pleased to let you know today that we are planning to join another multi-academy trust, called the King’s Group Academies, which has a total of nine schools.

The Department for Education formally approved us joining King’s Group Academies during the October half-term break and we are really looking forward to becoming part of a larger, well-established multi-academy trust.
The planned date for formally joining the King’s Group is April 2024.
Our Board of Trustees believe that this is an important next step in the journey of our family of schools and we are excited about the opportunities and significant long-term benefits that this will bring in terms of sharing best practice, school improvement strategy as well as educational and financial economies-of-scale.
Although there will be little immediate change for pupils and students in our schools, we will be working in partnership with the King’s Group Academies over the coming weeks and months and we will be communicating progress to you as things develop.
We are also planning regular parent and carer drop-in evenings which will provide an informal opportunity for you to ask questions and meet the King’s Group Academies Chief Executive Officer, Nick Cross.
The date for the Bay House parental ‘drop-in’ is Monday 13th November, 6pm – 7pm in the Bay House Main Hall.
This event will be ticketed and due to capacity we will need to limit numbers to 350 people. With this in mind, we ask that parents/ carers interested in attending, sign up via the link below for a maximum of 2 tickets per family. Due to capacity, it is not possible for children to attend on this occasion. There will be opportunities for pupils and students to find out more over the coming weeks.
