Well done to the Year 10 rugby sevens team who competed in a tournament on 30 March.
They put up a tremendous performance and behaved with respect and good humour that reflect the GFM Way, narrowly missing out in the final losing 21-19.
Their teamwork and discipline only got better as the day went on, with their enthusiasm and determination resulting in better game play.
The team was composed of Alfie Candy, Edward Cavendish, Jacob Cowie, Marshall Ferguson-Vine, Szymon Lewandowski, Benjamin Pearson, Logan Pettit, Marley Scott, Rory Steele, Joseph Whitbread, Isaac Windsor and Kian Mackenzie.
They finished 3rd in the group with a great 8 try win against Bedales. This led to the semi finals for third place, the Vase Cup playoffs. The team absolutely yearned to get to the final play off, landing 6 tries against Priestlands to make it to the Vase final against Thornden.
