Non-uniform day – Thursday 7 March, in celebration of World Book Day

World Book Day is a fun-filled celebration in school that helps to bring the joy of reading to the forefront of our learning. We will therefore be joining in on World Book Day with a non-uniform or optional book character dress up day.

For a donation of £1 on the gate or online via Scopay, pupils can come to school in non-uniform or dress up as their favourite book character.

There will be opportunities for pupils to get involved in:

  • Reading promotions, recommendations, activities and quizzes.
  • Themed interactive displays in the library.
  • Reading based class activities.
  • House competitions.
  • Cake sale (prices 20p-£1)

Proceeds from the day will be split between Book Aid International [The power of books – Book Aid International] and the school library, for resources that will benefit our learners.
